For Hertz, I enrolled in the #1 Club Gold through AMEX Platinum CDP. I am about to make my first rental reservation. Do I have to use the Plat CDP and charge the rental to my Plat to receive the $60 enrollment waiver?
In the welcome email, it says:
On Your First Rental, Go to the Counter and Provide
Your #1 Club number
Driver's license
PRIMARY credit card on your Profile
On AMEX Plat's benefit webpage, it also says:
When you use CDP# 211762 to enroll in Hertz #1 Club Gold and when making a vehicle reservation, you will receive these benefits:
Fee-waived membership in Hertz #1 Club Gold - a $60/year value
These two quotes lead me to believe that I have to use my AMEX Plat as the primary card and Plat CDP for the first rental in order to get the waiver. Can someone confirm this?
The reason I ask is because AAA has a lower rate and I was thinking about going with their CDP. Thanks.
