If it says Feb 2012 then that is when you have to have accrued the necessary TP to retain Silver. If you accrue enough points for Gold before that date, then a) you get promoted, b) your TP are reset to zero and c) you get a new membership year for 12 months starting on 8th of month following promotion date.
See...this is where I got confused. Currently my profile says silver membership. Membership year ends March 2012, card expires April 2011 (from this year). If i look at the bottom right hand corner it tells me how many tier points I need to "keep silver"---(although I've already lost silver). Very confusing. They cleared away my tier points from last year, but are telling me what to do to maintain silver, even though I don't have it anymore.
I know...too confusing to explain online. But it is misleading...
