The train in question leaves Hua Lam Pong (for Aranya Phrathet) at 5:55AM. How will your scenario work for the OP? Also, there are at least 2 'official' transit points from the airport train to the SRT at Hua Mak and Makkasan (not to mention the possibility of Lat Krabang) rendering the need to get all the way to Hua Lam Pong unnecessary.
OP mentioned they already did the Moh Chit run previously and would prefer to avoid heading into town only to pass the airport on the way to Cambodia.

If the plane arrives at one time and the poster chooses a train departure that is impossible or very difficult to meet then he has to change something!
IF the poster needs to be on the way before 0600 then there will no Rail Link available anyway!
If it was impossible to meet his train departure the last time and he has the same arrival times and the same train departure he may run into the same problems no matter what other stations he uses!
Other options are to just stay in Bangkok for the day. All of this running around just to avoid staying in Bangkok is more bother than it should be.
