Well, that's not recommended. First of all, those poor people at Platinum Concierge has nothing to do with this, and it was late in the day already. Plus, the priority was to get OP a room and help those stranded people (I would if I was there). Any discussion of compensation can wait till after the fact. Even if the OP wasn't a Platinum, this matter should not have been handled any differently except the compensation policy for walking the guest.
I just hope the other stranded guests have a place to stay now.
