Travel Weekly, EasyJet is doubling its online booking fee to £8 if you pay with a debit card, plus an additional £4.95 or 2.5% of a transaction added to credit card bookings. Apparently they think that call centre costs, and marketing and acquisition costs should be added to online bookings.
Call it a fuel surcharge or a booking fee - it's all ridiculous. Just add it to the base price.
Do they have any "free" payments options, like RyanAir do? If not, I can see them getting into trouble over this.
