I'm curious ... is a FA's career progression based on years of experience or hours of services accumulated? For example, will a FA, like the one described, receive a promotion to Purser/ISM later than another one who has similar years of experiences & performance but with more flying hours?
All based on years of service (ie. seniority). For US carriers that is all, but for many Asian (including CX) and some European carriers it is also merit based (i.e job performance, reviews).
