I've probably taken this flight 50 times over the past 15 years. It's often full (particularly Monday and Friday.) On those peak days it is also difficult to upgrade. (I've succeeded once in the past four flights, and I'm an EXP.)

The cabin crew are generally pretty friendly. If the flight isn't full they encourage passengers to find empty rows in the cabin so they can sleep, but when it's full it's cramped. Last time I flew it (a month back) there was still no seat power in Y - so if you take a laptop you'll need spare batteries.

In flight entertainment is on some fairly small TV screens - from many of the seats it's hard to even see the screens - so I don't bother (I take a Kindle and an iPod, and that keeps me occupied.)

I preferred the flight when it was a 777, but it's the only direct flight between London and RDU - and I always take a direct flight over a connecting flight on all my trips.
