Last night was my first ride on the ghetto bird for the IAH-LIM flight and I must report that I enjoyed the United flight.

The flight attendants were seemingly more personable and attentive than when I would fly the same route on CO.

I sat in E+ and the plane was really empty. I mentioned to one of the FA's that in my 10 trips down here I'd never seen such a light load. She said they've been running really light the last month or so; and mentioned that on the LIM-IAH flight the other night they had only FORTY people on board.

I wonder how much that ties into the huge fare increase? I used to pay $600-800 for IAH-LIM/LIM-IAH and its booking double that now.

Anyway - I didn't like the lack of AVOD and the seats seemed harder than CO's but overall I enjoyed my first United experience.
