I recently booked a multi-trip from BA with internal flights on AA. I wasn't able to do it via the website (since the internal flights didn't show on ba.com), but I was able to do it by telephone. Oddly enough, I could have booked the same trip through aa.com (including the BA TATL), but it was cheaper through BA!
