I assume the miles will count toward lifetime status but, if not, I'd like to know.
Depending on the route/aircraft, you may get seats equal to or some would argue better than UA's new C product. I think the CO 777s seem to be configured much better than UA, at least in C class.

Since everything is going to be combined eventually, unless you're on the verge of a MM threshold, then I wouldn't worry about the lifetime status.

Can't always figure poor/disrespectful service. I flew Transpac the other day in C, and wow, what a great crew. What a senior crew! But what a great crew! I don't think I've ever had such great UA service before. My water glass was never empty, and since I was awake the whole flight, every time they did come to fill my glass, they also asked me if I wanted something else. I was referred to by my name the whole time, even when the manifest wasn't in front of them. My request to slightly customize my meal was fulfilled, they brought around the snack basket to awake passengers, and everything was done with a smile. Oh, when I got up to use the restroom, the F/As were eating leftover ice cream, they asked me if I wanted more. I wanted to (but didn't) hug 2 or 3 of the F/As after I got off the plane. UACS is getting a letter when I get home.
