Hi,
I been following flyertalk for the past 2 years (as a guest though), and have benefited tremendously from the advice and activity seen on this forum. Its really sort of awesome
I just gotten married in Dec last year and am taking my wife on a much delayed honeymoon.
We are travelling to Europe, above 2 mentioned countries and wish to get tips on travelling between the 2 countries and if there are tips for value for money hotel stays (not necessarily the cheapest).
In Switzerland we are stopping at
1. Geneva
2. Interlaken
3. Zermatt
4. Zurich
In Italy,
1. Milan
2. Rome
3. Naples
4. Venice
Will the visiting in this order work (all travel by rail)?
1. Sightsee in Geneva
2. Stay in Bern? on 28 May
3. Move to Zurich
4. Move to Milan
5. Move to Rome
6. Move to Naples
7. Move to Venice
8. Glacier train to Zermatt
9. Move to Interlaken
10. Back to Geneva for flight back on 11 June
or
1. Sightsee in Geneva
2. Move to Zermatt
3. Move to Milan
4. Move to Rome
5. Move to Naples
6. Move to Venice
7. Move to Zurich
8. Move to Interlaken
9. Back to Geneva for flight back on 11 June
Appreciate tips and consul for the above itinerary or if there are better ways of getting around without criss-crossing so much

We are aiming to stay a min of 1-2 nights at each place with possibly 3 nights at Zermatt (Love mountains & the crisp air)
Other than the top of europe train ride, glacier railway, have currently no plans for any other sightseeing. Appreciate inputs as well.
We would really appreciate any other tips, help and advice in making our trip as memorable as possible.
Taking Qatar Airways and stopping over in Doha. Total length of trip is 14D13N actual on ground.
Thank you all in advance for your kind help, advice & pointers
