As part of a reward ticket, three of us are flying from Istanbul to Livingstone, Zambia on Turkish airlines to Johannesburg arriving at 8:10 connecting to a
SA flight at 10:40 to Livingstone. I am trying to change our tickets to go via Frankfurt on LH a day earlier to spend an extra day at the falls rather than a forced 2 day stopover in Istanbul (not that it wouldn't be a nice place to see). The LH flight arrives at 9:15 am and the only daily flight to Livingstone is at 10:40. Is this enough time? I am assuming that since this is a transit only, we will not have to go through customs and immigration in Johannesburg until we return from Botswana 10 days later. Any advice, as if we miss this connection we may not be able to get on the next days flight due to availability and I doubt they would put us on a non *A airline as it is a reward ticket. Or would you just leave well enough alone and settle for a day at the falls only.
