That's about the measure of it. No compensation, but as a courtesy limited protection if you miss a BA flight because BA brings you in late. MFUs honoured IME.

A through ticket offers full protection in the event of a misconnection - priority rebooking, and overnight accommodation plus meal vouchers if the next available flight is the next day
