Hey Guys,
Hopefully I can give some definitive answers. There have been some mixed comments about the Flight Notification and Flight Status. Both of these on aircanada.com and the app, are linked to the same system, which is our operational flight system.
SMS or Email is the most accurate as both of these get sent to you as a delay occurs (The change has to be more than 15 minutes for the notification to go out). Flight Status from the app has to be refreshed with this information, so to get up to the minute information you can either “Shake to refresh” or select refresh form the drop down menu. With the new version 2.2 we also have the feature of signing up “automagically” for the notifications.
Best Regards,
