What do I value most?
- I would say quality of room & especially bathroom.
- General feeling & atmosphere (I like the Raffles because when there you know that you are in Singapore and not in any other standardized 5* hotel)
- Capacity of staff to anticipate my needs & requests (that's true even when chatting. Sometimes I feel like having a discussion and sometimes I want privacy and discrete service).
- Location
- Gay-friendly reception (I just hate it when they insist asking you if it's a mistake that your reservation shows a king bedded room while you are two guys )

What I do not like is arrogant staff (especially when they suddenly become nicer after having seen your luggage or credit card). The best hotel with wrong attitude makes me want to leave.
