Las Vegas is a tough market for high priced hotels. Even during conventions (Comdex, 2001 and 2002) there are great deals.

2001 I stayed at Monte Carlo for $50/night. First night I upgraded to a real suite for $50 at the desk.

2002 I stayed at Paris for $59/night.
