Mac & Cheese - With Cookie Crumbs?
I flew SJD-SFO in F tonight and had the AS mac & cheese. The only resemblance to mac & cheese, however, was that it contained pasta. There was no cheese at all, just slightly oily (but dry) penne pasta with some extremely sweet crumbs on top. It really tasted like someone took some pre-cooked pasta, added a bit of oil, and sprinkled crumbled cookies on top. Is this dish usually that bad or was this a catering error? The FA told me that it was how the dish was normally served.
