To compare this to my QF platinum status:
To renew: QF in C 10 one way MEL-BKK; TG 7
QF & TG have first class checkin & first class lounges in very few places (QF MEL & SYD great (but almost no F flights MEL), HKG, SIN, BKK, LAX, LHR just ok; TG BKK grea, others just ok)
QF rewards for qualifying nil; TG GUPs & birthday awards excellent
QF international reward flights (esp F) almost impossible to get; TG *G reward flights (including F) very easy to get

Just for good measure also compared to my SQ PPS (I only get it as I fly SQ a few times per year when TG is full, SQ PPS is not something to which I ascribe any value):
About as easy to get in C as TG
Lounges only C very average & nearly always overly full

On balance TG PP in front of QF P & SQ PPS & if TG PP also includes the F buggy then it's a far in front winner for me.
