Lounge use: Club Europe to Domestic flight.

Hi,

I've tried several searches to find info on using a lounge if you have arrived in Club Eurobe, Lisbon-Heathrow, and continuing with a domestic flight, Heathrow-Newcastle.

I have looked up several pages on BA and can only find an example of Club World to Domestic.

On the outward journey we were allowed to use the lounge at Newcastle. On the return, at Terminal 5, I and my companion were refused entry, both the Lisbon-Heathrow, and the Newcastle boarding cards were shown. The computer indicated no entry. I walked away to think about this. It was my first Club flight with BA and was uncertain of the rules. But on the print out of the itinerary, it identified the locaton of each lounge at each airport. So I went back. Presented both boarding cards again and the itinerary. The lounge gate keeper took five minutes to search in a manual to find the relevant regulation. Eventually he waved us through.

Am I correct in thinking lounge access is allowed, and is the relevant regulation in print somewhere for to quote for future use? Surely this a common occurrence transferring from Club Europe to domestic.

Sent an e-mail to BA and I have received no reply after 3 weeks..

Thanks.
