Wow - I didn't realize that the Sheraton promise extended points if you were not satisfied. I wrote a letter to Starwood - which was then forwarded to the appropriate property and received a "form letter" after I brought an unsatisfactory incident to their attention.
I referenced the Sheraton promise in my initial correspondence - as it had certainly been mentioned to me at check-in. I was not offered any points.
I am still surprised at the lack of professionalism at this one property (my stay was 2 weeks ago), and was very pleased with my stay this past weekend at another Sheraton.
BTW - Gold Member and my first complaint.
