What Did you Expect?
Sorry to rain on your parade, but what did you expect to happen with a warranty repair?
I'm sure someone somewhere is going to reply to you saying "I just dropped off the bag and they gave me a new one, on the spot." But if you expect that to happen typically, you will be disappointed.
I'm pretty sure that any bag with a warranty is going to expect you to leave the bag, upon which they will ship it to the home office (takes several days), the home office actually does the repair work (a week or 2, depending on the length of the queue), and then ships it back to the local store (several days), upon which you can go and get it. Adds up to 3 weeks at least I would imagine.
They're not going to "overnight" your bag to/from the home office. Nor are they going to just hand you a new bag when you walk in the door.
Now that you're informed, only you can decide if you can be without your bag for a month. Factor that into the value of the warranty.
