Just to echo the others, if you can pay for an extra legroom seat, do it, especially over those distances!
There was a recent thread on the BA forum about middle seat strategies, some of it useful, some of it not, but you have to smile.
Hope she has a good flight, and enjoys the BA product which despite all the moans, is pretty good overall.
