It sounds like your place of business may have recently enrolled in Starwood Executive Traveler.

You keep it as long as you keep your job or as long as your business remains part of the Starwood Executive Traveler program.

What you determine - provided your account was enrolled in Corporate Preferred prior to January 1, 2004 - is whether or not you receive any threshold bonus points for staying in addition to the other benefits listed.
