Can a friendly BA traveller help me give my cousin some advice? She is flying LAX-LHR-JNB in economy and is looking to choose a good seat. She can pay $79 extra for an exit seat with 'unlimited' legroom, but it would be a bit narrower due to armrest tray table. Would she still get the personal tv? How good is the IFE on this service?
I've suggested the strategy of booking a window/aisle for her and companion, with the plan to give up the window if someone shows up in the middle seat. Comments?

I've always heard good things about the BA product. How true is that, especially in the current climate of retrenchment and cutback?
Finally, the BA.com seatmap for the day of travel shows that 80% of the seats are open. How can this be? Travel day happens to be RoyalWedding-palooza so perhaps everyone who wants to be in London will already be there?
