Wow! Never had to fight with a bank over reward points before. I been racking up massive points via my Maybank Horizon card (more than 70k in 1yr) due to huge amount of overseas vs local spends (internet purchases using foreign currency eligible for bonus too). Recently they even waived my rewards infinite membership charge without me asking.
