Why would BA care?
I have read in the past that pax travelling from/to Ireland,, despite not having any BA flights, were responsible for a significant amount of BA revenue, iirc up to 10% was mentioned (a figure I find hard to believe). As this was quite a few years ago, with the deep recession in Ireland, coupled with Etihad now 10 weekly and seizing a significant percentage of the Eastbound longhaul traffic, I would imagine it's nowhere near that.
Time to make us European BA!
