I was told tonight by the BA check-in lady that I was nearly not allowed to fly because it is a requirement for people to have 2 consecutive blank pages in their passport. The blank pages cannot be the two side of one page, if you get me. I do have some blank pages in my passport only one occurance of two facing blank pages! So if you are planning a trip to South Africa check your passport for this. It also occurs to me that in future I will be a bit more precise about where my passport is stamped when entering any country. For example I have one stamp from LAX that is stopping me having 2 consecutive blanks that could have been done on another page.
