Wonder if the OP is one of those people who got caught smoking on a previous Marriott stay, and then weaseled out by claiming it was that way when he moved in? Marriott does maintain a pretty good database.

Or, not to pick on the OP, maybe that Residence Inn has had that problem with previous Priceline customers.
