Hi all,
on February I applied for the AMEX Gold card and my application has been accepted, yesterday I received my first bill which was around 3000 British pounds, when I tried to log in on my account I saw a message saying:'' your account has been suspended, please contact us if we haven't already''. So I called AMEX and they told me that as I am a student they need to set a profile for me usual charges and they want me to provide them with some extra financial information (my last statements from my Bank account). I sent those yesterday with email and today I received a phone call saying that they will let me use my card BUT they will set a limit of 1000pounds.

This is a bit disappointment as I usually buy more expensive things/gifts Can I top up my card with some cash in order to have more limit? I know that I can do this on credit cards but can I do the same on the Gold Card? Secondly, does anyone thing that I should try to cut some of the annual fee after that?
