Imagine if they spent the same amount of money to make the airport a better experience through conventional means.

I bet that they could buy all the snow ploughs that they would ever need, pay the army to come in and clear the runways whenever necessary, hire enough staff to man every security channel at all times every day of the year and with their change they could compensate for some lost shops to put in some extra security lanes.
