There is one hotel I frequented more than others but they still asked to see my creds. I haven't had one since that hasn't asked. I am also in a different city and a different hotel almost every time I travel.

"State, I didn't mean to book state, I am federal and have an ID for that. Can you just raise the rate to $77?"
"No, all I can do is cancel the reservation..."

lol. I know a lot friends that thing the gov rate is awesome until they get the room next to the elevator. Or the room with with the handicap stall where the entire bathroom floor floods after a shower and doesn't allow you to take a crap in the middle of the night without getting your feet soaked. I've been there and try my hardest to not get one of the "reserved" gov rooms.
