If you're flying in economy and have no lounge access, then it's great. I get mine with the Platinum amex card, for £300pa, which when you factor in the insurance, and other benefits, makes it worth while imho, when the PP is worth £259 on its own.

Some lounges are better than others, but they are usually better than sitting in the terminal and having to pay for soft drinks.
