sorry for the bump, but was wondering for folks who were on a UA codeshare flight but on AC metal, were they able to select the exact seat by providing a seat number to UA? i called them a week ago and they told me they're only able to select aisle/window and AC sends them back a seat

and any experience on how to get the bulkhead seat for a codeshare flight for an E? can i even get it?
