I'll grant you that taken in a full historical context, Poland is central Europe. But in more modern times, over the last 60 odd years, it's considered eastern Europe by most people in Western Europe and America. And while there are of course examples of fine hotels in that region (I love the Intercontinental Warsaw), there are also plenty of poor examples of what serve as business class hotels in eastern Europe. This is why I was very pleasantly surprised by the Sheraton Poznan.
