May I inquire as to the source of this information? We were A47 & A48 boarding with EBCI. The two parties in front of us booked and added EBCI just a few weeks before the flight but ours were booked and EBCI added the day flights opened. I emailed Southwest, but received no explanation. My understanding was previously the same as yours, but I have been told otherwise since (based on fare paid).
