Haven't flown BA in a couple years, but last time I did I had a wheeled roll-aboard and a duffel bag, both of which went into the overhead. This was J on LHR-BCN connecting from AA LAX-LHR (in F, though I doubt anyone would have known that). No hassles of any kind.
