You are right - that's a tough one as British design can be clubby and traditional or very contemporary. I suppose what I meant was the more classic British style, with a touch of humour, that you find in hotels such as Covent Garden Hotel.
Four Seasons London has touches of British heritage in its use of certain fabrics, but for me, the ground floor felt remarkably Asian in style - perhaps because of the Chinese red. Odd, as the design is by Frenchman, Pierre Yves Rochon!
