I think we're in agreement -- I never said that I got $38-55 of
value from an international breakfast buffet, but that it was not outside the "normal" range for business meals in high-cost areas overseas. Agree with the poster who said most FTs have negotiated rates that include this.
Certainly one can seek out better and cheaper breakfasts outside the hotel. (Having said that, I notice that the buffets are the only time I eat Western food in Asia even as I try to avoid it the rest of the time!)
