Actually, to be honest, apart from the obvious (in that you need to pay for food and drink) I find EI a fairly nice airline to fly. You can check in online, choose your seat normally, and they tend to be fairly comfortable, certainly more so than NEO seats on AF flights for instance.
I find EI to be alright for flights to the continent. But they are terrible on the LHR flights. Always delays and problems in either direction. On the plus side, the new (opened a few weeks ago) EI lounge at LHR is very nice.
