Question about partner flights and check-in

I am traveling this weekend from the US to India with 2 stops in between. I booked my flight itinerary through Cathay Pacific's website. The first leg of my itinerary is operated by Alaska Air, and the other 2 flights are with Cathay.

Can anybody here confirm my assumptions/questions below:

1) I assume that I should be checking in with Alaska Air for the first leg of the flight (Seattle to Vancouver)
2) If I check baggage, will I have to retrieve it in Vancouver and then re-check it with Cathay or will my baggage be checked all the way to my final destination?
3) When I arrive in Vancouver, will I need to check in with Cathay Pacific for the next segment of my itinerary? Also, since the 2nd and 3rd segment are with Cathay, will I receive both boarding passes when I check-in with Alaska Air in Seattle or will I receive them when I check in with Cathay in Vancouver?

Sorry if this seems like a rudimentary question, but I have never actually flown with 2 layovers before, so I feel like a complete noobie.

Thanks in advance for your responses!
