I doubt RA is out there using his non-rev benefits and flying standby, hoping that he's going to make the flight. His time is a little too valuable for that, in my opinion.
Also, at the FT convention back in October, he stated that he flies in coach but gets the exit row. I believe he likes to fly in the jumpseat every now and then, as well.
