How long have you been an Emerald Club member?

A bit OT - but I'm curious how long people here have been Emerald Club member?

Personally, I've been an Emerald Club member since 1990 (21 years - long time!!!). When I first joined (National was the contract rental agency for my company then), there was an annual fee but you could take any car on the lot - in those days I would rarely drive anything else but Cadillacs. A few years later, Buick Park Avenues became the norm. Later on, the annual fee was eliminated. A low point came when Emerald Aisle cars were usually Pontiac Grand Ams (yuk - I almost switched). Executive status was sprung on members without prior notice (I was pretty upset that they didn't give any notice - since I would have rented with National a couple more times the previous year and gotten the status - and no consideration was given for long term Emerald Club members - 15+ years by that point). Executive Selection has improved car selection considerably (with the exception of about 2 years ago when the auto industry was in turmoil).

Well too much information - but from the posts here, it seems like I'm by far the longest term Emerald Club member - so just wondering.
