Oh Yeah and make sure that you sit at the bar and watch the bartender make the Irish Coffee. It's a show. If you can't get to Alcatraz for some reason, take the ferry (from the ferry building) to Sauselito and come back. Returning on the last ferry from Sauselito gives you some spectacular views of the city just as the sun is going down.
