I am currently liveing in Kristiansand, and AMS-KRS is indeed operated by KLC with a Fokker 70, so right off the bat, carry on would be a no go. Also there will probably be several inspections that would take time!

florinAs of right now, I don't think it will be the best idea. The reason I wanted to bring one back for the US, is that i would save $1000+ compared to buying one back home.
If I were to make it to Norway, there are still a risk of Norwegian customs taking an interest in this. If they "catch" me I would end up paying about $1000 in taxes and customs and I would have gone through all that for nothing!

manneca Is that even possible? And either way, it would still be too much for the extra seat so it probably wouldn't be worth it...

I will check prices with UPS/FedEx and see if it is worth it. If not I guess I'll just buy a Macbook Pro and bring it on the plane
