100% agreement with BBB. Sit down, with seat belt fastened until the jet's safely docked and shut down. That is one BIG lesson for all the DYKWIAs [no disrespect to our own DYKWIA, who is undoubtedly not that stupid].
2. Ground scenario ... interesting. It appears the CRJ wasn't fully on the stand - was that because of the white pickup cutting across in front?
3. I can imagine the AF captain was busy with pre-takeoff admin and checks. However, avoidance of ground obstacles is the
pilot's responsibility, not ATC who advise in
most circumstances.

contributory factor, by not noticing the CRJ was clear of the taxiway.
