Thanks. LCCs...
I just wonder why KLM is not making that clear during the booking process like they do with Air Europa.
If you book the flight with the KL code, then KL's baggage policy should apply. Note that Aer Lingus charges a fee per checked bag for all except the more expensive "Flex" fares. If they attempt to charge you in Dublin on the return, point out that you're travelling on a KLM ticket. It may also be worthwhile carrying printed evidence from KLM/Flying Blue that you are entitled to 2 free checked bags.
Sounds good. Thanks for that hint.
Any idea why I am getting a 2 bags allowed on the outbound but only one back on the inbound from KLM MMB?
See answer to question 1 above. They don't load extra food for KL passengers.
I must say, though, that I think you're crazy to pay so much extra for a TXL-DUB flight on all KL codes, when it's so much cheaper to book the two tickets separately (though of course when not booked all on one ticket you are not covered if you should miss a connection). Or better still - take the direct SXF-DUB Aer Lingus flight.
Why I am flying that itinerary is a long story.
I was actually planning to fly AMS-TXL-AMS for the weekend between the 3rd and 5th for a party in Berlin.
Flight was booked with a return for Sunday evening, hotel stay arranged etc...
Only then it turned out that I have to be in Dublin on Sunday afternoon. Flying TXL-DUB-AMS and the time constraints I have on these days means that the TXL-AMS-DUB-AMS-TXL flight is actually the cheapest. I will not be able to take the return leg on my initially booked flight and the last leg on my newly booked flight will not be used as well, but it is was the cheapest way to travel. (I do not consider flying Lufthansa with 2 stops on the return leg and 13hrs traveltime worth considering.

)
But hey, does anyone want to fly TXL-AMS on two tickets with a non-matching name? At least that way the segments wouldn't be lost. *grin*
