I like the cheat sheet idea.... maybe as a mini-itenerary of what she'll need to do that day, and just make sure to include the little details that we would take for granted... something like:
1. check in, go through security, then proceed to
your gate number printed on your boarding pass (lest she forget how to figure out what her gate number is)
etc.... with steps about retrieving her luggage, term transfer, looking at monitors, etc
