IIRC Row 33 is the front bulkhead row of the mini WT cabin. It should be a reasonable pair of seats, and the H seat will have marginally better legroom because the bulkhead doesn't extend all the way across. The seats will be narrower because the tray table and video screen are in the armrest.
Yes, you will be able to select from exit row seats at T-72 for free if they haven't already been taken by someone willing to pay, or a gold card holder.
I can't really comment on the 772, as I haven't flown one in a while.
