Why do they preclear in Dublin? I much prefer to do it on landing. Doing it before the flight has a practical consequence of making me get to the airport an additional one hour early just in case lines are really slow. Doing it on landing usually just means an extra 15 minutes longer than a domestic landing.
I believe one of the main "pros" of pre-clearing in Dublin is that the flight lands in the domestic terminal, making it much easier to connect to domestic flights (vs. the uncertainty of clearing immigration/getting luggage/clearing customs/transferring to T3/going through security again/etc.).
(I've never done this before, so I'm going off of what I remember other FTers saying. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
