The Holiday Inn entrance is off Century Blvd, so the shuttle has to drive into their narrow driveway and around their property a bit, which is kind of annoying. The La Quinta shuttle stop is right on Century Blvd, so that one is easy.
I think the Westin also operates a crew only shuttle that doesn't make the other stops (airline contracts). If you see that one at the hotel and there's room, you can usually just get on it. Anyway, I've seen it and I rode it one time. I was just by myself and only had carry-on.
The real annoying thing about the hotel shuttles at LAX is walking to that narrow little island where they stop, which seems to be pretty far from where you exit the terminal from a UA flight. And people blocking that narrow walkway. And it's the lower level, so plenty of exhaust fumes. Just more LAX nonsense. Also, the hotel shuttles have to do two loops at LAX, because they drop off on the upper level and pick up on the lower level. A lot of other airports reduced that traffic by half by making them pick up and drop off on the same level during the same trip.
